Disclaimer: I was invited as a paid guest of The Ritz-Carlton – though all opinions, photography, and words remain my own.

When The Ritz-Carlton asked me to be one of the first at the newly opened Turks & Caicos location, I was ecstatic. I mean, how often do you get to visit paradise in absolute luxury?! If you’re like me and crave some good island vibes every so often, then this post will have you on the next available flight!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by The Ritz-Carlton team and an ice cold drink that paired well with the warm tropical breeze.

Let’s talk about our view, shall we? It overlooked the most beautiful turquoise water, where we enjoyed front row seats to the most beautiful sunrises each morning. Being able to watch the sunrise while taking a nice relaxing bath is my idea of what a vacation in luxury is all about. Nils and I aren’t typically gamblers, but on our first night, we decided to indulge in some fun at the casino on property. I barely knew what I was doing, so it was quite fun to learn a bit more about the different games and just enjoy a bit.

Our second day was for leisurely enjoying the beach and pool. We enjoyed a private cabana at the pool with fresh fruits and champagne, before eventually heading on the powder white sand beach. It still blows my mind that the ocean can look so pretty. After a romantic sunset sail around the island that evening, we decided to order in some room service to rest before heading out to enjoy a delightful couples massage at the onsite spa.

All in all, I count this trip as one of the most beautiful and relaxing I’ve had in a while. Saying goodbye to my Ritz-Carlton family was sad but I know we will be traveling with them again soon. Enjoying the newly opened hotel felt special, and considering how short of a flight it is from the US, it was the perfect quick getaway for a few days.
